Island marked one of Amazon Prime Video's biggest K-drama releases to date — an adaptation of the cult-hit manhwa that first captured audiences in 1997 and again in 2016. With a cast led by Cha Eun-woo (31.7M Instagram followers at the time), the series was a strategic bet on Korean storytelling to drive both regional and global engagement, anchored on a Southeast Asian rollout designed to convert K-drama superfans first and broader streaming audiences second.
I produced the regional launch across Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, delivering a multi-format campaign spanning digital, social, OOH, and DOOH — including anamorphic displays in key high-footfall sites. The four-market rollout demanded tight production discipline: aligning creative deliverables across territories with different lead times, media partners, and approval cycles, while keeping a single creative through-line that reflected the title's tone. I optimised for shared production where possible, sequenced timelines to meet each market's media flight, and held the rollout consistently under budget.
The campaign helped Prime Video build a meaningful regional presence around Island and reinforced the platform's positioning in Korean storytelling for Southeast Asia — a content category that has continued to drive engagement across the region.
